Habitat for Humanity Global Village & Discovery Center

Global Village & Discovery Center

At the Global Village & Discovery Center, you can learn how Habitat for Humanity International works in partnership with families to build strength, stability and self-reliance.

The 6-acre village is a unique way to see life-size Habitat houses from countries around the world without leaving beautiful Southwest Georgia and is a popular destination for school field trips, scouts, youth groups, senior group travelers and tour planners.

The Global Village & Discovery Center is a valued addition to the rich cultural and historical attractions of the area and destination on the SAM Shortline Excursion Train route, which also includes President Jimmy Carter’s home and museum in Plains and his boyhood farm in Archery, among other historic sites.

Donate

Habitat for Humanity invites you to participate in the Buy a Brick, Build a Legacy program. When you buy a brick, you are helping Habitat build even more houses with people around the world in need of safe, decent and affordable housing.

With your donation of $100 or more, Habitat for Humanity will inscribe a brick in the Donor Recognition Plaza at the main entrance to the Global Village & Discovery Center with your name or the name of someone you would like to honor and send you on official certificate of recognition.

Contact us if you have questions about the donation process, would like to donate by phone or if you would like to learn where your brick is located in the Donor Recognition Plaza.
