Michael Nugent and his team in Zambia.

Michael Nugent from Ireland was one of the awardees of the Linda Fuller Awards for Exceptional Volunteer Service for 2011.

Michael received the award for his exemplary continuous volunteer service, leadership, and fundraising for Habitat for Humanity’s mission in Ireland and Zambia since going on his first Global Village trip 4 years ago.

At Habitat for Humanity Ireland, we are delighted that Michael was received this recognition. His belief, dedication and commitment to Habitat’s mission are obvious to everyone who meets him. Since first becoming involved with Habitat in 2007, Michael has lead four Global Village trips to Zambia and his teams have fundraised more than €200,000.

Michael has also encouraged many others to get involved with Habitat. From organising donations of printing and marketing advice to a kitchen sick for our office in Dublin, Michael inspires and motivates everyone who meets him.

Well done Michael! Long may your support of Habitat in Ireland and Zambia continue.
