AmeriCorps members helps local Habitat for Humanity affiliates serve more families.
As the need for affordable housing increases in America, many Habitat affiliates struggle to meet the housing needs of their communities.
Habitat partners with the Corporation for National and Community Service to place AmeriCorps members at local Habitat affiliates and partner organizations. AmeriCorps members interact with the community, build homes, lead volunteers, increase capacity and help improve productivity.
Two ways to serve:
- AmeriCorps National
Direct engagement with Habitat volunteers, partner families and community members.
- AmeriCorps VISTA
VISTAs leverage human, financial and material resources to build long-term solutions to poverty.
