Looksorn Bhandhukravi, a Thai singer who will be releasing her first single soon, has also joined the Habitat Youth BUILD celebrity volunteer brigade.

Hong Kong-based singers and Habitat ambassadors Michael Wong, William Chan and Sherman Chung are also onboard. Together, the celebrities will lend their support to fight the scourge of substandard or “poverty” housing and rally young people in the Asia-Pacific region to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

In the Philippines, youth volunteers can look forward to simultaneous builds at two sites on 12 May. Over 2,000 volunteers will be helping families affected by recent typhoons to rebuild their homes and their lives in Tanza, Navotas City and Indahag, Cagyan de Oro City.

Philippine bloggers are also challenged to come together to raise funds to build a home.
