Excitement is building -- Habitat for Humanity Int'l 1
June 2, 2008Excitement is building
Wow! I can’t believe the first day is over. It was one of the longest days I’ve had: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The framers — Turn key — had 20 people framing and it took them six hours to frame the whole house and install the exterior windows and doors. It is amazing to watch a whole house go up in five hours.
John Hall Electric wired the entire house in one-and-a-half hours. Davishar roughed in the plumbing and Greenwich started shingling and siding and will finish Tuesday morning. My homeowners — the Apontes — have been to the site and are very excited. They have three small boys who are excited to move into their new house. I’m excited too!
