Donations to Habitat’s Cars for Homes™ program help local Habitat for Humanity affiliates build and rehabilitate houses in partnership with families in need.

When you donate your vehicle, you are helping a family in your community build a house and the hope of a better life. You may also be eligible for a tax deduction if you itemize (consult your tax advisor for details.)

All vehicles are welcome
Cars for Homes™ accepts cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles and construction equipment. Vehicles are accepted whether they run or not.

There are two ways to donate a vehicle to Cars for Homes™:


Car sale fraud alert

Habitat for Humanity International has been alerted to an auto sales scam where the seller of used automobiles purports to represent Habitat for Humanity. The seller also claims that proceeds from the sale will benefit Habitat for Humanity. Please be aware these claims are fraudulent and are not in any way connected to Habitat for Humanity International.

The cars were advertised on AutoTrader.com and in various newspapers and related online services. The seller represents himself as Dr. James Spur and has used the following email addresses: dr.jamesspur@msn.com and support@donate-a-car.net. Please know that anyone who purports to be a representative of Habitat for Humanity on AutoTrader.com or through a local newspaper ad is fraudulent.
