About |

Raintree Habitat for Humanity is a locally run affiliate of
Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for
Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The
houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Back To Top |

 We finished our first Apostles Build house in January, 2009. Our family has moved in. We thank all of our churches who helped with this project. It was truly a blessing to work with everyone who volunteered.
We have just selected another family for our next house to be built in New Castle. We hope to start this home soon. Our Middletown chapter is in the process of building our 17th Henry County house at this time. We continue to praise God for his faithfulness as we help eliminate poverty housing throughout Henry County! |

Volunteers are always needed for work sites, office duties, committees, and the board. For more information, please call our Executive Director, Cary Plummer, at 765-521-0723 anytime during the day or evening.
Also, if you would like to donate directly to Raintree Habitat for for Humanity, please go to Habitat.org and select the Raintree affiliate. Raintree Habitat was again applied for income tax credits from the state to help with fund raising. Please call for information about this program. If you or someone you know is in need of decent, affordable housing, please call our office at 765-521-0723 for more information about the process of applying for Habitat home ownership.
