Molokai HFH is a locally run affiliate of
Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for
Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The
houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Back To Top |

 In 2008 Molokai HFH completed 3 homes, totaling 13 homes since becoming an affiliate in 1998. Our first completed home in 2009 is for the Burrows family. The house is completed and ready for occupancy on April 1, 2009. The house blessing and dedication will be announced. Thanks to the many volunteers who helped build the house;individual donors, grants from the State of Hawaii, NAHASDA program, Grant in Aid funds, Office of Hawaiian Affairs. All funds to help build in making their dream of a simple, decent house a reality!

Volunteers can get involved for our upcoming Event - Molokai HFH is participating in the Visitor Industry Charity Walk Event on May 16, 2009 fundraiser event to raise money for non-profits. We are looking for walkers to participate and get pledges or donation for their time. Help us raise money to help us build more houses for families in need.
