Driving directions to work site 3200 Maude Lane SW, Bogue Chitto. Going South from Brookhaven on I-55 South, go to Bogue Chitto exit 30. Turn right onto Bogue Chitto Road SW go 4 miles to Summit Road (across from Arlington Baptist Church). Turn left onto Summit Road go approximately 1 mile to Maude Lane SW. Turn right onto Maude Lane SW go approximately 1/4 mile building site and Walmart trailer is on right.

Kitchen cabinets are almost finished, still need a little interior painting and cabinets and bathroom vanities to be stained. Sewer should be install within two weeks.

Call the office 601-823-4061 to see if a day has been scheduled. Sorry, but the weather keeps us from scheduling ahead so some time we have to give short notice. Work starts at 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays and will continue as long as we have workers. There will always be some kind of work you can do, so don't let not having carpentry skilles keep you from coming out and help build it.

Who has the time to volunteer these days? Habitat volunteers make the time. We believe in giving back because we have been given so much. Our volunteers are often involved in church and community activities and they are always willing to do more. What will you build?

We have a WINNER. April 7 was the raffle drawing for the Playhouse. Brenda Foster was very excited we she received the call she had won the playhouse. It will be enjoyed for many a year.

Thanks to all who volunteered their time to sale tickets and to all who bought tickets. To those that did not buy tickets but gave a donation many thanks.

A very special thanks to Bank of Brookhaven for sponsoring this fundraiser. Without their help it would not have happened. Also a special thanks to these businesses that sold tickets: Bank of Brookhaven, State Bank on Brookway Blvd., Polly's On Main Street Restaurant, Mitchell's Steak and Seafood, Poppa's Fish House, Broma's Deli, Western Sizzlin, Brookhaven Market Basket, Home Hardward and Curves for Women. All of you made this fundraiser a hugh success!!! These funds will go toward building more house for people in need of a decent affordable place to live.
