HFH of Ottawa County is a locally run affiliate of
Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for
Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The
houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. Back To Top |

 We believe that homeownership empowers people to reach their full potential and contributes to stable families and stronger communities. Habitat for Humanity gives people the opportunity of becoming homeowners by building affordable, simple and quality homes. As of August 2008, we have built and sold 17 homes. These homes are located at: We are now planning our next build for May 2009. Housing construction was possible through our donors and dedicated volunteers, including business and church groups. We are always in need of volunteers and cash and in-kind donations. Donations may be sent to PO Box 486, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 - Thank you! For more information on volunteering, please call the office at 419-734-7074. Open office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 am until 3:00 pm. If you or someone you know is in need of decent and affordable housing, please call our office (419-734-7074) for more information about the process of applying for Habitat home ownership. |
