Paris HFH is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.
Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.

MILESTONE ~ We dedicated our 15th Habitat home February 10th, 2013, and will be pouring the foundation for our next home March 6th.
A BRUSH WITH KINDNESS ~ We completed painting nine homes in 2012, the last in partnership with United Way of Lamar County on October 19th and 20th. We established this program in 2009 with the proceeds from our 1st Annual Golf Open. This tournament continues to provide the funds to maintain our inventory of supplies as well as provide grants to low-income homeowners to assist with the necessary repairs prior to painting their homes. Additional grants from Liberty National Bank, Keep Paris Beautiful, United Way and a special P/LCHFH fund help support our program and enable us to keep the cost affordable for the homeowners. Please contact our Habitat office if your church, organization or other group would like to contribute financially, recommend a homeowner, or volunteer to help paint an ABWK home.
FOURTH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT ~ Last year's tournament in September was a great success. We are already planning our next tournament and hope we can count on you to be there too.
Get Involved
We are recruiting volunteers for our construction program. Our construction workdays are Monday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day.
