Individuals - Joining a GV team

Join us for a life-changing opportunity to help others in need while exploring another country!

A Global Village Holiday with a Purpose is a travel experience unlike any other. Helping to build a simple, decent home can transform the life of a family trapped in poverty housing. Not only will their life change forever, but your life may change too.

In the words of one GV volunteer, “As the week progressed we realized that our reason for being there was not simply to ‘build a house.’ It was to live with the people, to talk with them and learn from them, to share a common vision and to work together to see the vision materialize. This experience changed me.”

Individuals can join an existing Global Village team organized through our European programmes or the United States. Applications are accepted year round. Joining a GV team is great opportunity to make new friends while discovering a new country together. We strive to organize a diverse group with a trained leader.

Currently we have volunteer Sending Programmes that work with Open Teams to which individuals can join in the UK and in the US. Please visit the following links for frequently updated trip schedules of our US Sending Program and our Great Britain Sending Program. Both sending programs welcome nationals of any country.
