Last year, the students from the American School of Dubai extended a helping hand to a family in Armenia in desperate need of decent shelter.  Homeless after suffering through the 1988 earthquake and Armenian-Azeri war, the family’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity and the students brought decent housing at last.  For 10 days, the volunteers built hand-in-hand with the Bozinyan family in Vazashen.   This is a great experience for the students to gain exposure to life in developing countries and expand their global awareness in general. It also offers them the opportunity to help in a way that they are not able to help in Dubai,” says Kristen Roemer, team leader.

What is next?
