Orlando Women Build Week 2013
Our goal is simple, but great: empower women to take action against the poverty housing conditions in Orlando by raising funds and building together to make one family’s dream of home ownership a reality. Right now, 21 percent of children – about one in five – in Orlando live below the poverty level. Nationally, 12 billion children are living in substandard housing conditions. Join us and register to raise funds to construct a home for a family in need!
The process is easy:
Register for Women Build Week as an individual or team
- Individuals raise a minimum of $500
- Teams raise a minimum of $500 per member
Share your cause with your friends and family and ask them to help you raise funds.
Volunteer on our build site during National Women Build Week 2013, May 6-11, to help build a home for a family in need.
Create a page, give people the opportunity to fulfill their dream of home ownership, and start changing your community – one family at a time.
Last year, more than 260 women worked for one week to complete one month’s worth of work on five homes and raised over $130,000.
