President’s Budget Request

President’s FY 2007 Budget Request to Congress

The President’s Budget Request was released on February 6, 2006. This request included $40 million in funding for SHOP and $3 billion for the Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG). The president requested $422 million for the national service programs within the Corporation for National Service, a significant decrease from previous years. The Capacity Building program was not included in the president’s FY 2007 Budget Request.
