Haiti
The earthquake that devastated Haiti on Jan. 12, 2010 affected more than 2 million people. Today, hundreds of thousands still remain in camps.
Securing land tenure, removing rubble and working in an urban environment have all been challenges.
Habitat is working with policymakers to ensure funding is spent effectively and that lessons learned from Haiti are applied to future disasters.
