“National Service” is used to describe programs such as AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps VISTA, run by the Corporation for National and Community Service. 

National service members in these two programs play a key role in supporting Habitat’s work and goals. 

Since 1994, thousands of Habitat AmeriCorps members have performed more than 5 million hours of service and engaged thousands of volunteers. AmeriCorps members have helped build more than 15,000 houses throughout the United States.
