Join Habitat’s photo petition, “It all starts at home.”

When it comes to a family’s well-being, it all starts at home.
We know that a simple, decent home is the foundation on which a family can build their lives. People who live in decent shelter feel safer and healthier, and their children are more likely to advance in education.

Add your picture to Habitat’s online photo petition.
Remind President Obama that “it all starts at home.” Take a photo of yourself, your friends or your family holding a sign that says “It all starts at home.” Add your picture to Habitat’s photo petition.

• Create a sign that says “It all starts at home.” Get creative!
• Take a photo of yourself with the sign.
• Add your photo to Habitat's Flickr group or e-mail your photo to WorldHabitatDay@habitat.org, and we will post it for you.

Submit your photo by Friday, September 25, 2009.
Habitat’s goal is to collect a minimum of 500 photos. Make sure your photo is included when we deliver it to the White House on World Habitat Day 2009!

Please note: By submitting your photo (through Flickr or through email), you are giving Habitat for Humanity International permission to deliver it to the White House and to use it, either alone or in combination with other photos, in any on-line, print, or other media for the purposes of Habitat for Humanity’s advocacy efforts.
