About the alliance
Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is an alliance between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International.

Volunteers are needed at all stages of construction, from framing, as shown here, to the finishing touches inside.

The alliance has brought together the financial, volunteer and advocacy resources of Thrivent Financial and the resources and capacities of hundreds of Habitat for Humanity’s local affiliates to build more than 2,000 homes since 2005.
Thrivent’s 2010 commitment to Habitat
In December 2009, volunteers gathered in Twin Cities, Minnesota to begin work on the 2,001st Thrivent Builds home.
The home signified the launch of Thrivent Financial’s 2010 commitment of $15 million to Habitat for Humanity. The funds will be awarded to Habitat affiliates for the construction of 181 more homes in 37 states next year.

Trip costs
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members receive funding support for trip costs. A donation will also be made to the Habitat for Humanity host program on behalf of Thrivent Financial members who participate in a volunteer work trip.
