About the Build
If you are interested in a fantastic outdoor adventure, then Corvallis, Oregon is the place for you! Besides building with Habitat for Humanity, the team will be hiking, sightseeing, and exploring areas with thundering waterfalls, as well as spending a day on the gorgeous Oregon coast.

Itinerary
Day 1: Saturday, August 10 – Arrive at the Portland airport; team stays overnight at hotel nearby (double occupancy), have informal meal with team  
Day 2: Sunday, August 11 – Ride in rented van to Corvallis; orientation; hike at Silver Falls
Day 3: Monday, August 12 – Build and local sightseeing
Day 4: Tuesday, August 13 – Build and local sightseeing
Day 5: Wednesday, August 14 – Build; Explore and hike to the highest point in the coast range, Mary’s Peak
Day 6: Thursday, August 15 – Day trip to the Oregon coast
Day 7: Friday, August 16 – Build and local sightseeing
Day 8: Saturday, August 17 – Build and farewell dinner
Day 9: Sunday, August 18 – Departure: Breakfast, then leave Corvallis in rented van by 7a.m. to return to airport: flights should not be slated before 11a.m. 

Accommodations
While working in Corvallis, the team will stay in a dorm facility at Oregon State University with two persons to a room and a common bathroom.  Meals will be provided by the community or eaten at a restaurant.

This price includes lodging, food, ground transportation, cultural tours, traveler’s medical insurance, orientation materials and a donation to Benton Habitat for Humanity. The team leader will pick team members up at the Portland Airport and will be responsible for driving them in rented van to Corvallis the next day (and back to Portland for departure flights.)

Team Leader 
Andrea DeLeon and Linda Ross are thrilled to be co-leading this unique trip to Corvallis. They have been on several Global Village trips together and have become good friends through their unique Habitat travels. Andrea has been participating on Global Village trips since 2004 and has been all over the world, including Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Siberia, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Hawaii, Alaska, Mississippi and, most recently, New Mexico.  

Linda has been on approximately 18 Habitat for Humanity trips since 1997, including Americus, Hawaii, New Mexico, Mozambique, Papua New Guinea, Argentina, Siberia and a unique Women’s Build on a South Dakota reservation. She has been active on her local Habitat affiliate board of directors as well as that of the Fuller Center for Housing. Andrea and Linda both love to meet new people from around the world, learn, work hard and have lots of fun!
