September 6, 2014 to September 14, 2014

If you’re looking to combine your passions for service and travel, this Global Village trip to Paraguay is right for you!

On this trip, you and your team will take part in the construction process from the very beginning. You’ll dig and pour the foundation, build the walls and support the mason in a variety of other tasks. Your work will give a hand up to a family in need of decent, affordable housing.

In addition, you can tour the city, sample local foods or participate in other educational activities.

About Global Village
Global Village sends volunteers to build with Habitat for Humanity projects across the world. Get your hands dirty on the worksite, meet the families whose housing situation you are improving, experience the country like an insider and do it all alongside a team of like-minded volunteers. No experience is required! This build is your next step with Habitat to make the world a better place.

Share your story and keep Habitat building
You’re doing something exciting with Habitat, so tell people about it! Create a page on Share.Habitat to tell friends, family and coworkers about your Global Village trip. It’s a great way to raise your program cost, and the additional funds you raise will keep Habitat building.

Accommodations and food
Teams stay in a modest but comfortable hotel. All meals, snacks and ample water will be provided. Lunch is provided on the worksite, and dinners will be served at the hotel or nearby restaurant.

Types of work for volunteers
Volunteers will mostly work on new construction under the direction of an expert mason. At times, volunteers may be involved in improvements, finish/conclusions, repairs and additions/expansions. Habitat staff will supply full safety training and instruction.
