Everest Build III - Chitwan, Nepal
Join with hundreds of volunteers to build 100 houses in a week. When families, communities and nations come together, we can work faster than ever to build a future where everyone lives in a decent home.
• Power in numbers: see a community change when hundreds of volunteers build together.
• Trek the Himalayans and visit Buddhist stupas and Hindu temples.
• Get a behind-the-scenes glance at Habitat’s innovative work in housing, water sanitation and income-generating initiatives.
Work alongside partner families in the village of Jaymangala. The standard of living there is low, as most houses are not well maintained and contain just a single room. Habitat is building homes that are big enough for a whole family, and what’s more, they are cost-effective and eco-friendly!
Because this is the Everest Build, you will get to see some of majestic Nepal, which is home to Mount Everest, the Himalayas and a rich ancient culture.
Global Village sends volunteers to build with Habitat for Humanity projects across the world. Get your hands dirty on the worksite, meet the families whose housing situation you are improving, experience the country like an insider and do it all alongside a team of like-minded volunteers. No experience is required! This build is your next step with Habitat to make the world a better place.

Have questions? Ready to join the team? Natalie Nuce and Perry Washburn will lead this team in the field and would love to speak with you.
Natalie’s favorite GV story: Seeing a partner family member in El Salvador with smile on her face, in a skirt and flip flops shoveling mortar and cement. She took pride in helping build her house with us.
Perry’s favorite GV story: At our farewell in El Salvador, no one wanted to be the first to go. New homeowners Lorena, Augustine, Saira and Jheison hugged each of us hard, not wanting to let go, trying to convey a thanks in an embrace that was impossible to put into words. We hugged back, trying to say, “but, we received so much more than we gave.”
