Using the Sixteen Things You Can Do to Improve Your Credit Score list from the previous section, write some financial goals for things you can do to improve your credit. Make sure they are SMART goals!

SMART goals for taking action to improve my credit.

Some things you might be thinking about are:
1. I need to find out if there are any errors in my credit report and dispute them.
2. I need to figure out my total credit limit and total credit balance. I want to make sure I am not exceeding 30 percent of my credit limit.

Example Short-Term Goals
Tomorrow I will order my credit report.
By the middle of next week, I will have an appointment set with my mentor to look over my credit report.
Together we will figure out how much I can charge and not exceed 30 percent of my credit limit, and at least one other action I can take to improve my credit score.
