Ask your employer for help in determining if you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Advance Earned Income Tax Credit.
Ask your employer if the company participates in any IDA programs and to help determine if you qualify.
Ask your employer if the company offers a retirement savings plan. If such a plan is offered, ask your employer to explain it to you—and explain how you can sign up. Understand that contributions to a retirement plan will reduce your take-home pay. But, your contributions grow in an investment account, tax free. These plans are a great way to save money for your retirement.
