Description

A self-guided video explaining the important lending laws shaping the selection process. It presents Habitat for Humanity’s three family selection criteria as applied to local community need and outlines the typical steps in the selection process. Pauses in the tape encourage facilitated discussion by introducing thoughtful questions. An accompanying study guide provides tools and resources.

Objectives

After observing the video, discussing the questions and reviewing the materials in the study guide, learners will be able to:

    • Differentiate the three objective criteria for selecting homeowners

    • Understand the primary lending laws governing the selection and underwriting process

    • Define the key elements of the family selection process
