Belinda Florez

Experience:
Ms. Florez has more than 20 years of experience in the strategic management of projects, programs and services related to microfinance initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean. She has provided institutional technical assistance, with special emphasis on the design and implementation of housing microfinance programs to several financial institutions, including Financiera EDYFICAR and Mi Banco in Peru; FDL in Nicaragua; ADOPEM and ADEMI in Dominican Republic, CRECER in Bolivia; and has facilitated several workshops and trainings at a global level. She worked for many years with Opportunity International and World Vision Colombia, in team building and program development. Currently, she is in charge of directing the operations of the CISF in the region. She holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University in Pennsylvania, and is a certified public accountant. She is proficient in Spanish and fluent in English.
 
 
Giselle Espinoza

Ms. Espinoza coordinates and supervises evaluation processes and project systematization and provides advice in designing and implementation of guides and tools that promote organizational learning. She has eight years of experience in planning, monitoring and evaluation. Previously, she worked for World Vision International in the region as a regional coordinator of leadership development, coordinating capacity development programs, performance management and organizational leadership. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English-Spanish translation from Universidad Internacional de las Américas in Costa Rica, is certified in NGO management and sustainability from Eastern University in Pennsylvania and has a master’s degree in project management from Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional in Costa Rica. Adriana Llorca

Ms. Llorca is responsible for the coordination and supervision of housing finance project monitoring, elaboration of pre-feasibility evaluations for financial institutions that are interested in establishing partnerships with social investors interested in housing and strengthen the capacity of the sale force to offer housing financial products. She has 12 years of experience in credit, investing and managing credit and savings products, banking and commerce. Previously, she worked at Scotiabank, Florida Ice & Farm and Coca-Cola Interamerican Corp. in different management positions. Adriana has an MBA, a master’s degree in economics and banking from the business school of Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya in Spain and a master’s degree in marketing from Universidad Latina in Costa Rica. Fernando Mendoza

Mr. Mendoza has broad experience in finance and administration management for non-governmental organizations and in credit, banking, microfinance, strategic planning and operational and financial risk analysis. Previously he worked 10 years at Habitat for Humanity México as the finance and administration director. He is currently focused on market development strategies for housing in Mexico. He also coordinates the efforts for the Habitat Integral Attention, a financial institution providing capital for housing microfinance products expansion. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in México; a master’s degree in organizational management from Universidad Autónoma de México and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Eastern University in Pennsylvania. Enrique Montero

Mr. Montero is responsible for the design and implementation of microfinance products and complementary services with microfinance institutions. He has more than 18 years of experience in coordination and direction of social housing programs, serving in executive director and program coordinator roles in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras and Nicaragua, and as an advisor to national boards and executive directors. Mr. Morán is in charge of positioning new products for Habitat’s Latin America and Caribbean team under projects implemented by the Center for Innovation in Shelter and Finance. He has dedicated more than 10 years to the development of housing programs and housing microfinance product development. Before joining Habitat, he served as country director for Compassion International in Honduras and as project director for different projects of USAID in El Salvador. He is an industrial engineer from Universidad Politécnica in El Salvador and has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of El Salvador. He has attended the Boulder Microfinance Program in Italy and the Direction and Program Management course at INCAE in Costa Rica. He is proficient in Spanish and fluent in English.

Juan Carlos Sapién

He has more than 20 years of experience in construction. He has led social housing projects and has participated in research initiatives related to architectural and urban subjects. Previously, he was advisor to the director of urban development and public services in Mexico. He has a master’s degree in architecture from Universidad Autónoma in Mexico.
