Habitat Founder Releases New Book Millard Fuller's new collection of inspirational essays offers a broad perspective on life's essentials. For seven previous books, Habitat for Humanity founder and president Millard Fuller has taken pen in hand to describe Habitat's history, mission and impact. However, his new collection of inspirational essays, Building Materials for Life, offers a broad perspective on life essentials such as a positive attitude, forgiveness and the power of prayer."For much of my life, I have been involved in building things," Fuller says. "Whether putting up a barn, adding a porch to a tenant house, digging holes for fence posts and stretching barbed wire, or building a Habitat house, I have learned that the first thing one must do is find the necessary building materials and tools. We need the proper materials for building a human life as well." Building Materials for Life is a compilation of 40 stand-alone chapters, each focusing on a unique spiritual lesson or gift. Drawing on personal experiences and biblical principles, Fuller offers guidance on laying a foundation with chapters such as Attitude, Radical Common Sense, The Power of Right Thinking and Peace Within. Copies of Building Materials for Life are available for purchase by calling (800) 422-5914 (or if calling from outside the United States, (706) 565-2107). All profits and royalties from the sale of the book will be used to purchase building materials for Habitat houses. Carla C. Robinson |
