![]() More Than Houses Campaign Exceeds Halfway Mark Habitat for Humanity can continue building decent, affordable housing only to the extent that partners throughout the world share our concern for families enduring substandard conditions--and manifest that concern through their support of Habitat's efforts. We rely on the generosity of individual donors, corporate partners, foundations and church congregations to further our mission through monetary donations and gifts of land and building materials. Coupled with active hands and compassionate hearts, resource development extends Habitat's capacity to build better housing with those who need it. Launched in January 2000, the More Than Houses: Rebuilding Our Communities fund-raising campaign is one measure of Habitat's commitment to overcoming substandard housing wherever it exists. Thanks to the involvement from partners at many levels, this initiative recently exceeded the halfway mark to its $500 million objective. As of Nov. 1, campaign donors had contributed $264,450,451. However, as long as families suffer the hardships of inadequate housing, our work is far from over ... and we need your support to continue. Countless families around the world depend on it.
