Many of these school children belong to the 19 Habitat homeowner families living near the PCEA Mutuguni Primary School in rural Kenya. Their new Habitat houses—made of soil-pressed blocks with concrete floors—are sturdier and brighter than their old mud huts, providing a better setting for study, rest and good health. Hopefully, with such an environment the children will have better opportunities for education and a brighter future.
