A Dream Deferred

Petrus Sumardjono and Elizabeth Marsitah's Habitat house was almost completed when an earthquake in Indonesia earlier this summer destroyed their work. However, the homeowners are part of a Save & Build community, a group of families who have pooled their savings to help each other build. In times of disaster, the support of friends and neighbors can provide the most important building materials: hope and perseverance.
