Back from the Brink

Galle, Sri Lanka: Last December's tsunami rocked Asia, destroying thousands of homes and disrupting countless lives. Habitat for Humanity's response was immediate and forceful. An outpouring of donor support from concerned partners all over the world is enabling Habitat to work with at least 25,000 families over the next two years to help them reclaim their lives and begin anew in decent, affordable shelter. This tsunami-recovery house is all but finished. It and others like it will provide stability and hope for families in heavily hit Galle, Sri Lanka.
