Bermuda -- Habitat for Humanity Int'l 1

The main island of Bermuda is outlined by scenic, white-sand beaches and has low hills and fertile valleys in its interior. Neither the main island nor the hundreds of small coral islands surrounding it contain rivers or freshwater lakes.

Bermuda has one of the highest per capita incomes in the world. Its central Atlantic location is ideal for financial services of international firms. Luxury tourist facilities attract an average of 360,000 visitors annually.

HFH Bermuda was formed in June 2000. Due to very high real estate and construction costs, work is limited to major rehabilitation projects. All construction is masonry. Roofs are constructed using limestone and are designed to catch rainwater.
