Lowe's and Whirlpool Announced as JCWP 2003 'Premier Sponsors'
Ted Dosch, vice president of finance and controller for Whirlpool in North America, spoke on behalf of his company saying that in addition to acting as a premier sponsor for the event, Whirlpool employees would be constructing six houses during the eventtwo in each of the host cities of Anniston, Ala., and LaGrange and Valdosta, Ga. Dosch added that Whirlpool would be encouraging employees to participate in builds and other activities around the country which spread the "spirit of the event." Bob Gfeller, senior vice president of marketing and advertising for Lowe's, shared his company's excitement to be partnering with Habitat for Humanity as a premier sponsor at the national level. Many Lowe's stores have partnered with local Habitat affiliates in the past, Gfeller explained, but the JCWP sponsorship will take Lowe's and Habitat's partnership to a new level. Other local and national sponsors of the 2003 JCWP were also recognized at the event.
