World Increase your impact

Make your next trip mean more
Register now for Building On: Reflection Meetings.

Habitat’s founder Millard Fuller once said, “Habitat builds for people in need. That’s not the people in the houses.” He was talking, of course, about our volunteers. They routinely tell us that they take more away from a Global Village trip than they put into it. It’s why we invest so much time and love into Global Village; our trips transform communities at the same time they transform you.

What can you do to make your next Global Village trip matter more to volunteers? The most fail-proof way to make the trip matter is to facilitate great reflection meetings. You can help volunteers process what they’re seeing and feeling — and how it will matter when they get back home.

Register now for our upcoming webinar, and we’ll model discussion questions that will help your volunteers be more attentive to the community where they’re serving. We’ll also suggest ways that you can connect your experience in the field to their lives back at home.

More Building On sessions to come

Building On: Reflection Meetings is the second session in our Building On series. Many of you have already taken Building On: Program Updates, which is required for all leaders of open teams.

Upcoming optional sessions will focus on recruitment, fundraising coaching, and risk management. Talk to your Volunteer Engagement Specialist for more information.
