Coldwell Banker becomes real estate sponsor for Habitat for Humanity International

Coldwell Banker Increases Commitment to Raise $4 Million by 2011 for Habitat for Humanity Home Builds
PARSIPPANY, N.J., (Jan. 8, 2008)
– Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC announces a new multi-year partnership with Habitat for Humanity International that centers around the Coldwell Banker Homes for Habitat campaign. The partnership is expected to raise $4 million by 2011, through the efforts of Coldwell Banker affiliated companies and their sales associates.

The new campaign commenced January 1, 2008, and continues through December 31, 2011. Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Coldwell Banker affiliated companies will continue to support local Habitat for Humanity affiliates to raise funds that will assist in the financing of Habitat for Humanity home builds. The new campaign expects to raise significant dollars for Habitat for Humanity and allows more Coldwell Banker franchise affiliate companies to participate through a tiered sponsorship program.

The announcement today follows on the heels of the recently concluded Coldwell Banker 100 Homes for Habitat campaign that raised more than $6 million for local Habitat for Humanity affiliates and financed the construction of more than 130 home builds across the United States and Canada.

“We have just come off of what I call the greatest give-back in real estate history, and now we have stepped up our campaign for Habitat for Humanity to help more families in need of affordable housing achieve homeownership,” said Jim Gillespie, president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. “We believe in Habitat for Humanity’s mission and are inspired by the work of this organization. We consider this sponsorship one of our most important projects.”

“Coldwell Banker has generously raised awareness and funds for safe, decent and affordable housing through their 100 Homes for Habitat program,” said Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. “We are extremely grateful that Coldwell Banker will extend their relationship with Habitat for Humanity and continue to make a lasting impact in communities across the country and around the world.”

Habitat for Humanity has been the company’s national nonprofit organization of choice since 1993. Coldwell Banker affiliated companies have donated countless dollars and hours of labor to the organization and continues to raise the bar on their level of commitment.
