GHANA, ACCRA, 22-28 AUGUST 2009: On the 22nd of August 2009, twenty five people, seven ministers and representatives from the Cathedral of Faith Church of God In Christ, Be Restored Ministries in the United States of America, sixteen ministers and representatives from Global Revival Ministries in Ghana and two Habitat for Humanity employees will visit and help build a house with the Birim Agya Affiliate which is located in Kibi Town, two hour’s drive from Accra.
The Global Revival Ministries 2nd Africa Missions Conference will be held from 24-28 August 2009, Baden Powell Memorial Hall in Accra, Ghana. The theme of this year’s conference is “Anointing for Excellence.”On August 26, 2009 Habitat for Humanity employees will make a presentation to the conference attendees on Habitat’s mission and partnership opportunities.
27 and 28 August the group will travel to Kumasi and will be presented to the Ashanti King and Kumasi Metropolitan Authority. The purpose of the visit is to thank them for their support over the years they have worked with Habitat. The group will be visiting communities where Habitat is currently working as well as meeting families benefiting from the Habitat program. The group of ministers and church representatives will be meeting families in the process of receiving a home from Habitat. Taking a tour where they use to live, to demonstrate the effect of Habitat’s work in the community.

Habitat for Humanity has changed the lives of families in 100 countries, including more than 20 in Africa and the Middle East.
The purpose of these visits and presentations is to share information with potential partner churches in Ghana on Habitat for Humanity; the Global Church Collaborations model; and other ways to work with and support Habitat in hopes of identifying partner churches and possible places to partner/support Habitat for Humanity’s work in Ghana.
