Hard at work: American International School students building in Yangzhou Gou leprosy village

KUNMING, 4th November 2004; A leprosy village two hours from Kunming in south China’s Yunnan province, received help building a house from a multi-national team of high school students.

American International School in Guangzhou sent 24 students to help with constructing a Habitat for Humanity house for leprosy victims of Yangzhou Gou village in Yiliang county.

To celebrate an enjoyable build and the completion of the new house, the villagers staged a cultural show. More new houses are due to be constructed in the village, thanks to a donation from the students.
