For every confirmed booking of its serviced apartments in China, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Thailand, Oakwood will donate US$5 to the respective Habitat for Humanity program in these countries.
In Japan’s capital Tokyo, Habitat for Humanity Japan held two events at Oakwood Premier Tokyo Midtown serviced apartment. A party for 60 people raised about 166,000 yen (about US$2,000). The money will go toward a Habitat build in Thailand next spring.
Earlier in August, HFH Japan also held a violin and piano recital at the same serviced apartment in Tokyo. Oakwood donated 35,000 yen to HFH Japan from the recital.
