In Malawi, the event will be commemorated under the theme, "Changing Cities, Building Opportunities." The theme has been chosen because cities are the engines of growth. The function will be held in Zomba district which has just been been elevated by government to be a city. Some of the activities to be done include displays, site visit, jingles, panel discussions, drama and dances.
