Here are some of the ways Habitat for Humanity International commemorated World Habitat Day 2012

• Our observation of World Habitat Day 2012 was launched at the first Regional Forum on Adequate Housing for Latin America and the Caribbean [1], Sept. 25-28, 2012.
• The International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat [2] was observed the Sunday prior to World Habitat Day.
• Our fifth annual Shelter Report will highlight the vital role that homeownership plays in community development. 
• Observations culminated with the 29th annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project [3], which returned to Haiti Nov. 23-Dec. 1, 2012 for the second year in a row to build homes in Léogâne.
