Capital One Building Habitat Houses Around The Nation
AMERICUS, Ga., Sept. 25, 2002- Capital One has pledged its continuing support to Habitat for Humanity International by agreeing to help build additional houses with people in need. Capital One's commitment of $270,000 will help fund construction of seven houses in Richmond, Va., Tampa, Fla., Federal Way, Wash., Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas, Boise, Idaho and Fairfax, Va. It also will provide operational support in Fredericksburg, Va.

Capital One began building houses with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates in 1996 and has been an official corporate partner of Habitat for Humanity International for the past two years, supporting building projects nationwide. Capital One has built 23 Habitat for Humanity houses across the country. More than 5,500 of Capital One's associates have dedicated more than 23,866 hours building durable, affordable housing with families in need in their communities.
