ATLANTA (May13, 2010) – Habitat for Humanity International recently garnered several awards for design and editorial excellence.
The nonprofit’s website Habitat.org, flagship publication Habitat World and its print and graphic design all received recognition.
“Habitat’s writers, designers, photographers, web staff and printing team capture Habitat’s story and transform it into richly illustrated and compelling bodies of work,” said Chris Clarke, Habitat’s senior vice president of Marketing and Communications. “Habitat for Humanity is extremely fortunate to have such a talented group of professionals dedicated to furthering support for and understanding of our mission.”
The awards include two Bronze EXCEL awards from the Society of National Associations Publications for Habitat.org in recognition of Web design and online coverage of the 2009 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project; Gold, Silver and Bronze GAMMA awards from the Magazine Association of the Southeast for Habitat World in the categories of general excellence, best photography and best feature; and eight print and graphic design honors, including two first-place platinum Spotlight awards in an international contest for Habitat’s 2009 annual report “How Hope Grows.”
