National Women Build Week

About National Women Build Week
During the weeklong event, women devote at least one day to the effort to eliminate poverty housing.

The event is typically held the week leading up to Mother’s Day
These dates are significant to many volunteers, as families with children make up a staggering number of those in need of adequate housing.

This year's event was held May 4-12, 2013
Read about some of the events on our National Women Build Week daily diaries [1] page. “Like” National Women Build Week on Facebook [2] and follow us on Twitter using this year's hashtag: #Womenbuild13.

Valuable support from Lowe’s
In addition to sponsoring special events like National Women Build Week, Lowe’s underwrites the overall Women Build program and has contributed nearly $40 million to Habitat for Humanity.

Employees at Lowe’s stores also conduct how-to clinics for our women volunteers. These clinics teach new construction skills that our volunteers can use to help us eliminate poverty housing.
