Ed Quibell is originally from South Africa where he obtained his master’s degree in accounting and finance at the University of South Africa and qualified as a chartered accountant. He currently lives in Roswell, Georgia, with his wife of 34 years and they have three grown daughters. Having resided in several countries besides South Africa, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United .States, Quibell has developed a keen interest in other cultures and enjoys travelling whenever he can. He also enjoys playing golf.

Prior to joining Habitat for Humanity International, Quibell held several executive positions including vice president and chief financial officer at Danka Business Systems PLC, senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions, chief financial officer and managing director of European operations at Manhattan Associates Inc., president of First Data Health Corp. International, and executive vice president and chief financial officer of Rio Tinto Zinc Ore Sorters Group.

“When I was first approached about working at Habitat for Humanity,” Quibell relates, “I liked what I saw—particularly the challenge, as Habitat is such a complex organization, both structurally and financially.”

Quibell has been senior vice president of administration and chief financial officer at Habitat for Humanity International since February 2009, bringing his years of experience in corporate finance, business administration and general management to Habitat’s mission to end poverty housing.
