Volunteer Mobilization Volunteer

Position title: Volunteer, Volunteer Mobilization department (two positions)
Duration: Six months to one year (beginning as soon as possible)

Roles and responsibilities
Assignments and priorities will be determined by the Volunteer Mobilization department. The Volunteer Mobilization department is dedicated to supporting and creating programs and initiatives that engage volunteers in Habitat’s mission to provide simple, decent and affordable homes. We seek to educate individuals about Habitat’s mission and how they can contribute, activate volunteers to serve with Habitat and create long-term advocates for affordable housing.

The volunteer may

• Work with the Volunteer Mobilization department in various roles and responsibilities, specifically supporting the Global Village program.
• Conduct interviews, review existing procedures and documentation, observe staff activity and consult with subject matter experts to fully and accurately document the various recurring tasks accomplished within the Volunteer Mobilization department.
• Update or maintain information databases.

Skills and requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft software, including Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
