For a week in June 2005, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn led volunteers from around the world together with more than 50 Habitat for Humanity affiliates throughout Michigan and parts of Canada to build a total of 225 simple, decent, affordable houses in their local communities.
