Bringing Help and Hope to Haiti
As estimates of those affected by the devastating earthquake in Haiti continue to grow, people around the world are coming together to help. These public service announcements are designed to raise awareness of the urgent need for shelter in Haiti and inspire viewers to join us in the long-term recovery effort. Former U.S. President and longtime Habitat volunteer Jimmy Carter urges viewers to join Habitat in bringing help and hope to the people of Haiti.

PSA Campaign
The sense of hope, joy and pride felt by both partner families and volunteers is celebrated in Habitat for Humanity’s new public service announcement campaign airing in fall 2007. The PSAs feature the song “A House, A Home” by singer-songwriter Anna Wilson of Nashville, Tenn. Anna was inspired to write the song after working with Habitat for Humanity in Nashville.

Gulf Coast: A Working Celebration
Thousands of volunteers came to help rebuild the U.S. Gulf Coast after Katrina, but many families still need homes. Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter led a new wave of volunteers to the Gulf in May 2008 and celebrated their 25th weeklong project building with Habitat for Humanity.
