North America

Housing can be very expensive in the region of North America. Sometimes people have to spend most of their money on a house. Often, many people live in a small space without hot water or lighting. Unfortunately, the government cannot help every family.

Habitat for Humanity tries to help the people in North America. They build houses in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and other islands. Habitat’s mission began to spread in the U.S.A. with building efforts in San Antonio, Texas. Canada began building in 1985. It was the first branch of Habitat to build outside of the United States. Habitat helps families purchase homes in North America. The dedication of volunteers makes homes affordable for these families.

¿Cual es tu favorito… What do you like to do? I like to play soccer and video games, read, watch TV and a lot of things.

What does your house looks like? I'm living in an apartment on the second floor of a building in downtown.

What do you do on an average day? In the morning, I go to school. After that, I go home eat, and do my homework. I’m able to play soccer with my friends after that.
