Global Village Youth Program

Make a difference globally

Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Get ready to make a difference and be changed in the process. The world is waiting for you and your group!

The Global Village Youth Program (GVYP) gives groups of youth ages 14 to 25 opportunities to build throughout the world with Habitat for Humanity. Team members work alongside homeowners and local volunteers helping families achieve their dream of a simple, decent place to live.

Build bridges, build hope, have fun

Working abroad with Habitat for Humanity is often a life-changing experience. GVYP participants learn about poverty housing and Habitat’s ecumenical Christian ministry and mission to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness worldwide. GVYP teams give of themselves as they work alongside homeowners and local volunteers of all backgrounds, races and religions. Participants learn about the host community’s culture, language, and social practices, and develop new skills and confidence. In addition to an unbelievable experience building homes, most teams also take some R&R time to visit local attractions or parks, see ancient ruins, or experience what nature has to offer — just to name a few of the possibilities!
