Learn and Build Experience alumni trip

Learn and Build Experience alumni trip

The Learn and Build Experience has been blessed with summer participants that want to return to volunteer – and also build with their LBE family. This is a great opportunity to revisit friendships made in previous summers, as well as expand your LBE network. We’re inviting past participants to join us this summer in Saline County, Arkansas. Trip applications are now closed.

Learn and Build Experience 2013 alumni trip

Saline County, Arkansas

July 7-13

Habitat for Humanity of Saline County is located in Benton, Ark., 15 miles southwest of Little Rock and 20 miles east of Hot Springs National Park. The affiliate has completed 53 homes, four of which were completed by youth! Current construction takes place in Partnership Village, a subdivision of Habitat homes. Benton is your typical small Southern town, full of hospitality, great Southern cooking and plenty of neighbors willing to pitch in and volunteer. Little Rock has many great attractions, too, including the headquarters of nonprofit Heifer International, the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and the historic Little Rock Central High School. There are plenty of outdoor attractions such as hiking along Pinnacle Mountain and Little Rock River Trail and canoeing the Saline River.
